I am not sure what your yesterday was. I do not know the giants you faced or the valleys you walked through. I do not see your victories that God has given or the joys you have experienced. But I can promise you that God has seen it all. Life has a way of giving us a ground-level perspective. We can only see as far as the objects around us allow. This perspective can cause us to loose our focus and purpose. Zoom out of life and take a look at the big picture. It is amazing to think that before you wake up each day, God already knows your day. He knows your week and the year. He knows everything you will walk through and battle. Because of this, he has planned fresh mercies for you each day. Mercies that allow you to face what is coming for that moment. He will give you the strength needed for that day, that moment, and at that time in your life. Every day we live is filled with new mercies from a faithful and compassionate Father.
"It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3: 22-23
When the sun rises tomorrow, remember there are fresh mercies for you to claim.
This hymn is a reminder of God's faithfulness!
